A Jewish Children's Library and Learning Center in Loving Memory of Miriam Mintz
Current state of the building
Planned renovation
Miriam Mintz was a master special educator who devoted her professional life to helping children who needed more than a traditional classroom could offer. She earned her master's degree in special education and spent over a decade at Talmudical Academy of Baltimore, where she became a trusted anchor in the Lamdeinu learning center.
She had a sharp mind, high standards, and an ability to connect deeply with her students. Miriam didn't seek recognition. She wasn't interested in inspiration or image. She simply wanted to do her job well—and she did. Quietly, consistently, and with total dedication.
Children were always at the center of her life. Her nieces and nephews were a constant source of joy, and she gave them the same thoughtful care she gave her students—intentional, loving, and engaged.
